We’re thrilled to welcome you to AfriCamps at Doolhof Wine Estate, nestled below the historic Bainskloof Pass, between the Groenberg and Limietberg Mountain ranges where the Kromme and Witte rivers meet.
Here, in one of the most beautiful parts of the Cape Winelands, 16 fully equipped boutique glamping tents are surrounded by breathtaking mountains and sweeping vineyards. Six of the tents open onto a peaceful meadow, where the soothing sounds of the Kromme River fill the air, and 10 hillside tents boast breathtaking mountain views.
Explore activities like a 5km vineyard hike, the river walk that leads you all along the Kromme River, mountain biking trails that start on the property, a kids mountain bike trail, and, of course, the outdoor wood-fired hot tub next to your tent. Your stay is not complete without a visit to the elegant Mila restaurant and the tasting room where you will uncover the secrets behind Doolhof’s award-winning wines. Enjoy a complimentary wine tasting and take a few bottles home as a reminder of your winelands experience.
Our natural pets here at Doolhof also provide the odd entertaining encounter. Do not be surprised if you come across Cape leopard tracks, baboons or duiker. The Piet-my-vrou bird will be your alarm clock in the mornings.
As the sun sets behind the Groenberg Mountains, the Doolhof valley is covered in long shadows and transforms into a tranquil amphitheatre with a glorious view of the Limietberg and Hawekwa mountains as they change colour.
